I've come to the conclusion that it really IS all about perspective. Your attitude, positive or negative, creates the reality in which you live. Let those doubts in, dwell on the difficulties, allow your subconsious to linger on the harshness or hardships in life and your world really is caving in. Force yourself to focus on the good, and the world around you blossoms with promise, love and wonder. Nachas will outshine frustrations and even the hard times present you with reason to battle on. It's all in your head... but that doesn't make you crazy. Rather that makes you powerful. So powerful that only YOU can choose whether to be in the best of times or the worst of times.

I live in a bright and shiny world (no, I'm not high) that some may call naive, but I disagree. I am aware of the Chilul Hashem stories that hit the newspapers, I recognize that not every "Rabbi" should be allowed to use that title, I see drugs, sickness, and depression as well as the next person; But I choose not to let that be the focus. I focus on stories of Kiddush Hashem, tales of tzaddikim, the amazing chesed seen throughout the Jewish community, simchos and Nissim. I don't think this is naive. I like to think of it as anti-cynicism. (Is that a real word?)

"Always look at the bright side of life, tutu, tutu, tutu, tutu, tutu.... Always look at the bright side of life..."
